Legionnaires shutout in second game at Circle K Classic

Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires

Special teams were the difference as the Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires fell to 0-2 at the Circle K Classic on Wednesday.

The Legionnaires finished zero-for-six on the man-advantage and allowed two power play goals in a 4-0 loss to the Chicago Mission in Calgary.

Mario Scalise scored twice, while Riley Babich and Greg Johnson each added singles for the Mission. Matthew MacArthur made 21 saves in the shutout.

Jacob Morris took the loss with 30 saves on 34 shots.

Chicago improved to 1-1 to sit tied with RINK Kelowna for second in Pool 5, trailing the  Calgary Buffaloes (2-0) at the 32-team U18 AAA tournament.

The Legionnaires (0-2) will wrap up the round robin on Thursday against RINK Kelowna.
