Friday, the 6’8’’ outside hitter compiled 14 kills with two blocks and one ace.

The Swift Current product was even more efficient on Saturday as he finished with 16 kills at an 80 per cent conversion rate. He added two aces, one block assist, and five digs for 18.5 points.

Mortensen is now leading Canada West with 4.49 kills per set and is second with 5.34 points per set.

Mortensen has his Huskies in fourth-place in Canada West with an 8-4 record this season. They will return to the court on Jan. 6-7 when they visit the UBC Thunderbirds.
