Swift Current’s Aurora Van Wormer was named the Anna Maria College Player of the Week after picking her first career win and shutout for the AMCATS.
The 6’0’’ goaltender stopped all 25 shots she faced in a 4-0 win over the Assumption University Greyhounds on Sunday in Worcester, MA.
Van Wormer played two seasons for the U18 AAA Innovation Credit Union Wildcats from 2020-21. She posted a 1.81 goals against average and a .928 save percentage in 15 games last season.
The AMCATS will return to action on Friday when they host the SUNY Canton Roos at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, MA.
