The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires have made holiday plans to return to the Circle K Classic in Calgary.
The 32-team tournament, formerly known as the Mac’s World Invitational, will begin on Dec. 27 with the draw slated to be announced on Dec. 7.
International teams set to appear are the South Kent School (Connecticut), St. Mary’s High School (California), Phoenix Jr. Coyotes, Team Hungary, Bishop Kearny Selects (New York), and the Chicago Mission.
The Legionnaires are currently third in the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League with a 12-3-0-1 record. They will be joined at the tournament by the first-place Saskatoon Blazers (15-2-0-1), the second place Regina Pat Canadians (13-3-0-1), and the fifth-place Saskatoon Contacts (10-4-0-0).
The Legionnaires will host the Moose Jaw Warriors on Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the InnovationPlex.
