Lind scores first NHL goal

Shaunavon’s Kole Lind scored his first National Hockey League goal on Friday. The Seattle Kraken forward snapped home a shot past Logan Thompson late in a 5-2 loss to the visiting Vegas Golden Knights.

Lind, 23, has 17 goals and 18 assists in 46 American Hockey League goals with the Charlotte Checkers. He now has five points in 12 NHL games with the Kraken this season.

Lind had played seven NHL games with the Vancouver Canucks last season. He was a second round pick by Vancouver in 2017.

Lind and the Kraken (21-41-6) will host the Dallas Stars on Sunday at Climate Pledge Arena.
