The Swift Current Pure Chem Broncos closed out their opening round playoff series with a 6-4 road win in Yorkton on Friday. The Terriers led 3-1 before the Broncos scored five consecutive goals to take control of the game.
Jace Egland led the Broncos with a hat trick, followed by two goals from Parker Rondeau as they fired 46 shots on net. Ryder Woods also scored.
Wesley Olson played the set-up role with four assists, followed by single helpers from Riley Moberg, Theron Watteyne, Chase Petersen, and Sam Kirwan.
Conner Bender made 18 saves on 21 shots over 36:10 for Swift Current. Berney Weston made 13 saves on 14 shots over 23:50.
Brady Kitzul took the loss with 40 saves. Grady Keith led the Terriers with two goals and one assist, while Alex Morrison and Dylan Brass also tallied.
The Broncos had opened the Saskatchewan U15 AA Hockey League playoffs with a 6-2 win on home ice on March 6.
