The U14 Boys Junior SunDogs volleyball team placed second out of 11 teams at their first SaskCup tournament in Yorkton this past weekend.
The team of eight SunDogs had a strong showing during Saturday’s round robin play, ending up second in their pool. After the re-pool, the U14 boys came up against Estevan in two separate matches. The Sundogs won both matches in two sets and moved on to play the Prince Albert Smashing Bananas Gold team in the final. They came up short after two strong sets losing 25-22 and 25-22 to bring home the silver medal.
The U14 boys will play in Prince Albert on March 18, then will head to Warman on April 2-3 for their second SaskCup tournament.
