Swift Current’s Aleah Nickel was named the Canada West Athletic Conference Female Wrestler of the Week after winning gold at her home event over the weekend.
Nickel won all three of her 63 kg matches by fall to claim gold at the University of Alberta Bears and Pandas home event.
The Pandas rookie had placed third at the Dinos Open and Huskies Open to begin the season.
The next action for Nickel and the Pandas will be the 2022 Canada West Championship in Saskatoon.
