The Swift Current Southwest Terminal Broncos scored 14 goals to secure a pair of wins over the visiting Melville Millionaires in the Saskatchewan U13 AA Hockey League over the weekend.
The Broncos took the opener 8-1 on Saturday when they finished three-for-seven on the power play and killed off all four shorthanded situations.
Kasey Gleim led the Broncos with a hat trick, while Tysen Kobley and Hunter Wilm each recorded three assists. Jaxson Squires scored twice, Kyron Watson and Kadyn Olfert each registered a goal and an assist, and Jamie Kirwan finished with two assists.
Dane Irwin also scored, while Jake Hargrave, Kyler Duclos, and Taye Silbernagel all added single helpers. Cade Mitchell earned the win with 19 saves.
Sunday, the Broncos completed the sweep with a 6-2 win. Hargrave led the Broncos with two goals and one assist, followed by three assists from Duclos and one goal and one assist from Olfert and Silbernagel.
Jamie Kirwan and Wilm also scored. Moen and Squires added assists. Hudson Rijvers earned the win with 20 saves.
The Broncos continue to lead the U13 AA South Sask Division with a 5-0-1 record. They are on the road this weekend to visit the Weyburn Wings for two games.
