The Swift Current Broncos stayed within striking distance of the host Winnipeg Ice on Sunday, but eventually fell 3-1.
The Broncos held a 1-0 lead when Mathew Ward scored on the power play. Isaac Poulter made 42 saves for the Broncos but eventually allowed goals to Mikey Milne, Connor McClennon, and Skyler Bruce. Gage Alexander made 18 saves for the Ice.
The Ice improved to 7-0-0-0, while the Broncos fell to 2-4-1-0 with their fifth consecutive loss.
The Broncos will visit the Medicine Hat Tigers on Tuesday. The Broncos only two wins of the season came over the Tigers.
