The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires returned to the win column in the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League with a 3-2 win over the host Moose Jaw Warriors on Tuesday.
Matt Ripplinger scored the game winning goal in the third period during a two-point outing. Noah Mitchell also finished with a goal and and assist, while Eric Hoiness chipped in a pair of assists. Carter Herman also scored as Mitchell Czemeres and Brendan Quinn-Lagria added assists. Colby Watson made 33 saves to earn the win.
Wyatt Lacoste and Rowan Calvert replied for the Warriors, who got 26 saves from Ryan Bain in the loss.
The Legionnaires and Warriors are now tied for fifth in the SMAAAHL with a 2-1 record.
The Legionnaires will open their home schedule on Saturday when they host the Saskatoon Blazers at 7:15 p.m. at the Innovation Credit Union iplex.
