Barracudas looking forward to new season

After a trying season, the Swift Current Barracudas Swim Club is looking to make splash in the pool once again.

After having to reduce their programs last season due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Barracudas are looking forward to making a full return to the pool with programs for swimmers ages 6-18 as well as masters programs for swimmers ages 19 and up.

The Barracudas Swim Club will offer programs for the following groups:

Mini Barracudas (ages 6-8 years – swim two times a week)

The focus will be placed on developing skills like kicking, breathing to swim the two competitive strokes – front crawl and back crawl.

Intermediate (swim two times a week)

The program will teach swimmers four strokes: Butterfly / Backstroke / Breastroke / Front Crawl and accompanying skills with each stroke.

Pre Competitive (ages 9-13 – swim four times a week)

This group is for competitive swimmers who have demonstrated a good skill level in multiple strokes.

Competitive (age 13-18 – swim five times a week)

The focus is on the development of high-level skills in all four strokes, learning how to train at a high level, and the ability to take control of one’s life as a student-athlete.

Adult Swimming

Masters (ages 19 years and over – swim two times a week)
