Broncos shutout by Blades

The Swift Current Broncos were shutout for the first time this season in a 3-0 loss to the Saskatoon Blades on Wednesday as their losing streak was extended to six games. The Blades now have points in five straight games as they improved to 13-2-2-0 to lead the East Division Hub in Regina.

The Blades jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period when Blake Stevenson tapped home a pair of centering feeds only 1:46 apart midway through the frame.

Chase Wouters stretched the lead in the second period when he knocked home a rebound from off the end boards that found him alone in the crease area.
