The Swift Current Innovation Credit Union Wildcats announced on Thursday that fourth-year goaltender Amaya Giraudier has signed a letter of intent to play for the St. Francis Xavier X-Women next season.
The Assiniboia product was the co-recipient of the Brittony Chartier Top Goalie Award last season as well as a member of the Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA Hockey League First All-Star Team. She led the league with a .949 save percentage, tied for the lead with 14 wins, was second with a 1.20 goals against average,. and tied for second with four shutouts in 15 games last season.
Giraudier played in four games this season and had a .900 save percentage and a 2.71 GAA.
St. Francis Xavier University is located in Antigonish, Nova Scotia and the X-Women are the defending Atlantic University Sport champions.
