Arntsen signs with Ice Wolves

Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires captain Cash Arntsen has signed a letter of intent to join the La Ronge Ice Wolves of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

The hockey club announced the signing on Twitter on Thursday afternoon.

The homegrown product has two goals and three assists in six games with the Legionnaires in the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League this season. He registered 14 goals and six assists in 44 games last season.

He was a part of the Swift Current Abbey Resources Broncos that won Midget AA Provincials in 2019 with 47 wins in 48 games.

Arntsen was the number one overall pick in the 2018 SJHL Draft. He was also drafted by the Saskatoon Blades in the 13th round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.

The Legionnaires also announced that assistant captain Drayton Hvidston had signed a letter of intent to join that Ice Wolves. The Tisdale product had one assist in six games on the Legionnaires blueline this season. He had five points in 21 games with his hometown Trojans last season.
