The Swift Current Kabos Bantam AA Broncos limited their opponents to only two goals during two home wins in the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League over the weekend.
Saturday, the Bantam Broncos edged the visiting Prairie Storm 2-1. They fell behind in the second period but responded with goals from Ryan McCleary and Rhys O’Neill to take the lead before a scoreless third period. Kaden Floberg and Wyatt Wilson had assists, while Justin Dueck got the win with 26 saves.
Sunday, the Broncos skated past the visiting Saskatoon Outlaws 4-1. Riley Dekowny paced the Broncos with two goals and two assists, while Tanner Funk added a goal and an assist and Rhett Evjen also scored.
Hayden Wilm, Cash Arntsen, and Levi Lamotte all added assists, while Jacob Herman made 30 saves in the win.
The Broncos remained in second spot in the South Division with a 17-2-4 record, only four points back of Yorkton with one game in hand.
The Bantam AA Broncos will conclude the regular season with five games this month. They visit the Saskatoon Maniacs on Friday to open a three-game weekend. They also visit the North East Wolfpack in Melfort and the Humboldt Broncos.
