A stingy Swift Current Sonic U16 softball team held two Saskatoon team to four runs in a pair of blowout wins on Monday.
The Sonic opened the day with an 11-3 win over the Saskatoon Lazers when Kadence Pavely and Becca Marshall combined for the win. Paris Appel hit a two-run home run to pace the offense.
Swift Current followed up with a 17-1 win over the host Saskatoon Raiders. Hillary Lacelle and Morgan Bailey held the Raiders to share the win. Appel added two home runs to lead the Sonic to the victory.
The Sonic will be in Assiniboia for a double header on Saturday.
