The Swift Current Jr Sundogs 16U Gold Women’s team had a successful tournament in Lloydminster at Sask Cup #2 over the weekend.
They started off with a win over the South Shore Stingers (25-23,23-25,15-10). They then took a loss against Lloydminster Rustlers Green (18-25,20-25). They bounced back in the third game to beat QCVC Royal Black in three sets (25-22,24-26,15-13) to place second in pool G.
Sunday’s first game was a three-set loss to Prince Albert Toppers Esprit (14-25,25-19,7-15). In the second game they took the win in two straight against Outer Limits Synergy (25-19,25-23). In the last match of the tournament they fell to JCVC Voltage (25-10,25-11). This placed them sixth in Division 2, Tier 2, 20th overall.
