The Swift Current 16U Female Junior SunDogs won four of seven matches to place sixth out of 20 teams at the Thunder Creek Tournament in Moose Jaw.
The SunDogs, coached by Chris Grainger and Brad Gross, lost their opening match to South Shore A (19-25, 25-12, 12-15) before rattling off wins over South Shore B (25-14, 25-12), QCVC Royal Black (20-25, 25-6, 15-11), and the Sask Stealth (21-25, 25-18, 15-12).
Sunday, the 16U SunDogs opened the day with a loss to the Weyburn Rush (19-25, 23-25), followed by a win over Briercrest (25-22, 25-14) and a loss to the QCVC Royal Purple (10-25, 19-25).
