The Swift Current Comp. Colts won six of seven matches to claim bronze at the LeBoldus Invitational tournament in Regina over the weekend.
Friday, they came out of their pool ranked first with a 4-0 record after wins over Moose Jaw Vanier, Birch Hills, Brandon Vincent Massey and Regina Riffel.
Saturday, the Colts won their quarterfinal match against the host LeBoldus Golden Suns, but lost the semifinal against Brandon’s Neelin High School in a close three-set match.
The Colts rebounded with a three-set victory over Winkler Northlands Parkway (25-22, 23-25, 17-15) in the bronze medal match.
The Colts will be off to a tournament in Yorkton this weekend.
