The Swift Current 17U Female Junior SunDogs won three of five matches at Big Sky Volleyfest in Billings, MT over the weekend.
Their only two losses were in three sets to the eventual silver and bronze medal teams as they placed ninth overall.
The SunDogs opened the tournament with a loss to Great Falls, Montana’s Zootown (18-25, 25-15, 14-16). They rounded out the day with wins over Casper, Wyoming’s Nitro (25-20, 25-15) and Laurel, Montana’s Laurel Express (25-15, 25-9).
Sunday, the 17U SunDogs lost in three sets to Missoula’s Zootown Diamond (25-15, 21-25, 13-15) and then closed out the tournament with a three-set win over Wyoming’s Cloud Peak (25-16, 18-25, 15-9).
