The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires learned who their opponents will be at the Mac’s AAA Midget World Invitational Tournament will be.
The Legionnaires will open the 25-team tournament on Boxing Day against the Lethbridge Hurricanes. The Hurricanes lead the Alberta AAA Midget Hockey League with an 18-3-0 record.
The Legionnaires will face the Brampton 45s the following morning. The 45’s are currently last in the South Central AAA Hockey League with a 3-19-0 record.
The Legionnaires will play their third game in as many days on Dec. 28 when they battle the Calgary Flames. The Flames are last in the AMHL’s Chrysler Division with an 8-13-2 record.
After a day off, the Legionnaires will take on the Cariboo Cougars on Dec. 30 to conclude the round robin. The Cougars are second in the BC Major Midget Hockey League with a 16-5-3 record.
The Legionnaires are currently third in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League with a 19-7-1-0 record under head coach Darren Evjen.
