The Swift Current Female Midget AA Broncos were unable to secure a win in their opening weekend in the Saskatchewan Female Hockey League. The Broncos lost both games to the visiting South East Goldwings.
Saturday, the Broncos were outscored 3-2 in the final frame to fall 4-3 to Weyburn. Captain Kalea Sauder was in on all three goals with two goals and one assist in the loss. Jenna Olfert also scored for the Broncos. Carmen Hildebrand and Autumn Nimegeers each picked up a pair of assists. Aurora Van Wormer took the loss as the Broncos were outshot 41-30.
The Broncos were unable to turn the tables on Sunday in a 4-0 loss. Allison Wall took the loss as the Broncos were outshot 38-23.
The Broncos will be back at home on Friday to host the Regina Rebels at 8 p.m. at Fairview West Arena.
