The Swift Current Abbey Resources Broncos took a commanding series lead with a 4-2 win over the visiting Estevan Bruins Wednesday.
It was the Broncos second win in less than 24 hours as they took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five South Saskatchewan Midget AA Hockey League opening round playoff series.
The Broncos never trailed as they led 3-1 after one period and never looked back. Riley Skarbon led the way with two goals, while John Priela and Hendrik de Klerk also scored. Levi Lamotte added two assists, while Beau Larson, Rhett Evjen, Matthew Christianson and Ryland Hornung all added single assists.
Jacob Herman won his second straight playoff game with 27 saves.
The Broncos will look to close out the series on Friday in Estevan.
