Parts of the Southwest are bracing for snowfall amounts of up to 10 to 15 centimetres as a storm system begins to move into Saskatchewan from Alberta.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning in the Southwest for the Swift Current – Herbert – Cabri – Kyle – Lucky Lake plus the Leader – Gull Lake forecast regions, along with all of central Saskatchewan.
The forecast is for moderate to heavy snow to begin moving across the province throughout Friday evening before the snow begins to east Saturday morning in the Southwest.
Motorists are advised to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions and the snowfall intensifies. Visibility may be suddenly reduced during periods of heavy snow.
