The Swift Current Comp. Colts concluded the Moose Jaw High School Football League regular season with a 44-0 win over the visiting Estevan Elecs Tuesday.
The Colts’ win, combined with a Weyburn win over Moose Jaw Vanier, clinched fourth spot in the league for the Colts and a home playoff date against Weyburn on Saturday.
The Colts defense limited Estevan to just seven first downs and 143 yards of total offense, including only 11 yards rushing on 18 attempts. The Colts defense also intercepted three passes and recovered one fumble.
Nic Bachiu led the Colts with three touchdowns as he carried the ball once for 70 yards and caught two passes for nine yards. Parker Strojwas, Karson Stubins, and Jordan
Lamontagne also scored as the Colts totaled 348 yards of offense, including 117 yards along the ground from Strojwas on eight carries.
The Colts (3-3) will now host the Weyburn Eagles (2-4) on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Colts Field. The Colts defeated Weyburn 39-14 to open the season on Sept. 9 in Weyburn.
