Shaunavon’s Hannah MacNeil was tied for second after two rounds at the 67th Saskatchewan Junior Women’s Golf Provincials Championships at the Chinook Golf Club in Swift Current.
She shot an 83 on day two of the three-day event to sit nine shots back of the leader, Chloe Sies (81-77-158), and tied with Alexandra Schmidt (82-85-167).
Swift Current’s Griffin Wilson is the top local on the boys side as he sits tied for 21st after round two with an 84 on day two. He is now 15-over-par and 15 shots back of the leaders heading into the final round.
Swift Current’s Ethan Fizell is tied for 27th after shooting an 82 Tuesday.
Eastend’s Kirk Humphrey is tied for 30th with an 87 in round two. Maple Creek’s Ruben Cooper is also tied for 30th after carding an 85 on day two.
Humboldt’s Tayden Wallin (75-69-144) and Saskatoon’s Andrew Campbell (68-76-144) are tied for the lead at even-par after two rounds.
The tournament will conclude Wednesday with spots at Nationals and the Canada Summer Games on the line.
