A trio of Southwest communities are participating in Day of Action events in support of the Stop The Cuts coalition.

Rallies are planned by SEIU-West members for today in Cabri (Prairie Health Centre); Eastend (Wolf Willow Health Centre); and Maple Creek. Province wide, a total of 30 Day of Action events are planned in support of saving local jobs and economies.
“We are asking people to not only advocate for good jobs in their communities but to insist that the corporate tax rebate that was announced in the budget be reversed,” noted SEIU-West President Barbara Cape. “We know that it is good for our communities is to have access to strong public services and decent jobs that pay a living wage. Now, more than ever, we should be investing in our local communities, services and our province.”
