The Swift Current Broncos used their first pick of the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft to select defenseman Jacson Bradbeer 22nd overall.
The Maple Ridge, BC product had nine goals and 52 assists in 29 regular season games with the Yale Hockey Academy U15 Prep team. The 5’9’’, right-shot defender also had six points in three playoff games.
They added another defenseman with the 23rd overall selection. The Broncos selected 6’3.5’’ Nathan Roberts out of Surrey, BC. The right-shot defenseman had four goals and 21 assists in 30 games with the Delta Hockey Academy U15 Prep team. He added five points in three post-season outings.
The draft will continue on Thursday with the Broncos holding the second pick of the day, the 25th overall selection. They also have the 27th overall pick.
The Kelowna Rockets used the first overall pick to select forward Madden Daneault from Red Deer. The 5’11’’ centre had 65 goals and 84 assists in 34 regular season games with the Red Deer U15 AAA Rebels.
