U18 AA Broncos fall in overtime

The Swift Current Southwest Sports Excellence Broncos lost an overtime barnburner to wrap up their 2025 league schedule.

The Broncos lost 8-7 to the host Regina Capitals on Dec. 18. Tate Leshures made 33 saves on 41 shots in the loss. Kaleb Toogood made 14 saves for the Capitals.

Jace Wills scored twice and added an assist, Reeve Zacharias and Gavin Halderman both registered a goal and an assist, while Brody Knakoske finished with three assists for the Broncos.

Benson Wallis added a goal and an assist. Tripp McLeod and Nate Steel also scored. Tyson Anderson added one assist.

The Capitals improved to 15-4-2-1, while the Broncos improved to 4-10-0-5.

The Broncos will return to league action on Jan. 10 when they visit the Notre Dame Hounds.
