The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires took three points from the host Tisdale Trojans in the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League over the weekend.
Saturday, the Legionnaires lost 5-4 in a shootout to the host Trojans.
Josh Benjamin made 21 saves in the shootout loss. Kasey Gleim led the way with two goals and one assist, while Mason Fauser had three assists. Hunter Wilm registered one goal and one assist, while Jake Hargrave added two assists. Trae Peterson also scored. Kohen Ruedig added a solo helper.
The Legionnaires responded on Sunday with a 3-0 win when call-up Tate Leshures stopped all 22 shots he faced in the shutout.
Gleim, Kyler Bilokreli, and Ryder Wilm scored in the win. Peterson, Hunter Wilm, Hudson Postnikoff, Ruedig, Rory Dewar, and Porter Nickason all picked up assists.
Jackson Dunn took the loss with 28 saves.
The Legionnaires finished the weekend with a 3-2-1-0 record in eighth spot in the 12-team league. Tisdale sat fourth with a 4-3-0-0 record.
The Legionnaires will host the Notre Dame Hounds for two games this weekend.
