Junior Colts win three tournament games

The Swift Current Comp. Junior Colts Red basketball team placed second at the Carlton Charity of Choice Tournament in Prince Albert with a 3-1 record over the weekend.  

The Colts lost their opening game 69-49 to the host Carlton Crusaders. Enzo dela Cruz led the Colts with 16 points, followed by 12 from Quinn Bolton. 

The Colts bounced back with a 64-53 win over the 

Ecole St. Mary Marauders, led by 13 points from Bolton and 11 from Kean Geronimo.

The Junior Colts added a 66-35 win over the AE Peacock Toilers. Bolton scored 20 points and Juan Dungca chipped in nine points. 

The Colts closed out the five-team round robin event with a 57-39 win over the Greenall Griffins. dela Cruz paced the attack with 11 points, while Nathan Odiyo scored seven points as the Colts improved to 6-5 on the season. 

The Junior Colts and Ardens will host their Red & Blue Tournament this weekend. The Colts will play AE Peacock on Friday at 3:30 p.m. The Junior Ardens will face the Regina Campbell Tartans at 6:30 p.m.
