Eastend’s Jace Egland has a new hockey home after having his Western Hockey League rights traded on Thursday.

The leading scorer in the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League was traded from the Wenatchee Wild to the Regina Pats for an eighth-round pick in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft.

Egland, 17, is currently leading the U18 AAA league with nine goals and 19 points in seven games with the Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires.

The 5’10’’ forward was originally drafted in the sixth round of the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft by the Winnipeg Ice.
