The Swift Current rink representing Canada at the 2024 World Mixed Curling Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland finished the round robin with a perfect 7-0 record.
The rink of Shaun Meachem, Kelly Schafer, Chris Haichert, and Teejay Haichert defeated New Zealand 8-5 on Thursday. The game was tied 5-5 before Canada scored three points in the seventh end.
Canada will now face the Netherlands to open the playoffs on Friday. The Netherlands placed third in Group D with a 4-2 record.
