Pats end Broncos winning streak

The Swift Current Broncos four-game winning streak came to an end Friday with a 4-1 loss to the host Regina Pats.

The Pats jumped all over the Broncos with first-period goals from Connor Bear, Jaxsin Vaughn, and Zach Moore to put the game out of reach.

Carlin Dezainde scored the only goal of the second period, his first goal as a Bronco, with a breakaway marker for his seventh goal of the season overall.

Tyson Buczkowski closed the scoring with a power play goal in the third period for the Pats.

Joey Rocha took the loss with 26 saves. Kelton Pyne made 26 saves for the Pats.

The Broncos finished zero-for-two on the power play, while the Pats connected once on two man-advantages.

The Pats improved to 4-3-0-0, while the Broncos fell to 4-4-0-0. The Broncos will host the Everett Silvertips (6-2-0-0) on Saturday.
