The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires won both games over the host Tisdale Trojans over the weekend in the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League.
The Legionnaires opened the weekend with 5-3 win Saturday after scoring three goals in the third period.
Wesley Olson led the Legionnaires with one goal and three assists, followed by two goals and one assist from Jace Egland. Trae Peterson and Connor Rieger also scored. Hunter Wilm added one assist. Evan Hutcheon made 28 saves in the win.
The Legionnaires followed up with a 4-3 overtime win on Sunday. Mason Fauser scored in the final minute of overtime to clinch the win with his second goal of the game.
Egland had a goal and an assist, while Sam Kirwan also scored. Jake Hargrave, Wilm, and Rieger all added assists. Cade Mitchell earned the win with 27 saves.
The Legionnaires improved to 3-1-0 on the season. They will visit the Battlefords Stars next weekend.
