Hazlet defeated Regina Sheldon Williams(10-3),
lost to Moose Jaw Central (5-12) and then lost to Kincaid (6-7).
The Gull Lake boys team is the SHSAA boys provincial host and they have an automatic bid into that championship, so their season continues (Tyler Lamarre, Zach Dysart, Lucas McMillan, Cohen Haithwaite, Trusten Kirwan, coach Amy Dysart).
The SCCHS boys won the “A” side with wins over MJ Peacock (9-3) and Avonlea (8-4). In the A/B playoffs they lost to ”B” side winner Avonlea (5-6). Because they are the ‘A’ side champs, the Colts would have one more game against Avonlea to decide who attends provincials. It wasn’t meant to be, luck wasn’t on the Colts side, and they lost (4-7).
Eastend mixed team had a first game win against Regina Balfour (5-4). They defeated Dinsmore (11-1) and then lost in the “A” final to Moose Jaw Central (3-14). The Eastend team (Bodie Duke, Makayla Bjornson, Willy Li, Lola Richardson, Slade Bjornson, coach Dana Duke), refocused and won the “B” side final over Dinsmore and earned the second qualifying spot for SHSAA provincials. The mixed provincial championship is in Lampman March 8-9.
