Taekwondo students medal in provincial tournament

Members of Swift Current Christian Taekwondo participated in Kim’s Challenge in Regina on Saturday, March 5, bringing home three gold, four silver and five bronze medals in sparring and poomsae (forms).

“This was the first face-to-face tournament the province has seen in almost two years,” says head instructor Gary Voysey. “We were all a little nervous, but in the end, our students stepped up and performed well. It was good to be back and I’m really proud of everyone that participated.”

Twelve medals were taken by students of Swift Current Christian Taekwondo. Competitive categories are divided by age, weight and belt rank. The following individuals received medals in their divisions:
