Three members of the Swift Current Broncos will have the opportunity to take center stage in their quest to be drafted into the National Hockey League this spring.
Goaltender Reid Dyck, defenseman Owen Pickering, and forward Josh Filmon have all been selected to the Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, which will be held on March 23 in Kitchener, ON.
The three Broncos are among 40 players from across the Canadian Hockey League that will skate in the rescheduled event.
Dyck is a 6’4’’ goaltender from Winkler, MB with a 3-9-0-1 record, a 4.43 goals against average, and an .885 save percentage. He was ranked 26th amongst North American Goaltenders in the NHL Central Scouting Midterm Rankings.
Pickering is a 6’5’’ defenseman from St. Adolphe, MB with seven goals and 17 assists in 45 games. He has shot up the draft rankings this season and was recently ranked 21st amongst North American Skaters.
Filmon, a 6’2’’ forward from Winnipeg, has 19 goals and 18 assists in 46 games this season. He was ranked 51st in the Midterm Rankings.
The Broncos will host the Brandon Wheat Kings on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
