Former Swift Current Indians infielder José Rojas hit a standup double on Wednesday for his first Major League Baseball hit.
Rojas, who played in Swift Current in 2015, doubled during the Los Angeles Angels 6-1 loss to the Kansas City Royals. He started at third base and was hitting in the seven-hole during his seventh MLB appearance.
Rojas was named the Western Major Baseball League Rookie of the Year and was named an infielder on the First All-Star Team in 2015 when he led the league with a .366 batting average.
