The Swift Current Full Line Ag Wildcats opened the Saskatchewan Female U18 AA Hockey League regular season with a 5-2 win over the visiting Regina Rebels on Friday.
Brogan Carlson scored a natural hat trick to lead the Wildcats to the victory. Jenna Olfert and Ava Geissler each added a goal and an assist, while Paisley Arntsen chipped in a pair of assists. Kayla Keith also earned one assist and Annika Kirk picked up the win in goal.
The U18 AA Wildcats lost the rematch 2-1 the following day in Regina. Olivia Kirwan scored with assists from Arntsen and Olfert. Mya Ruschkowski took the loss as the Wildcats were outshot 28-19.
The Wildcats will visit the Notre Dame Hounds on Thursday and then host the Hounds on Saturday at 2:45 p.m. at the Innovation Credit Union iplex.
