The Millar Edge hosted the Burman Bobcats on Wednesday for the teams’ first meeting of the season.
The men started things off with a furious pace. The first few minutes, the teams exchanged baskets before Burman took the lead. The Edge fought back in the second quarter but the Bobcats continued on to win the game 107-64. Bryce Parrott got player of the game honours with 18 points.
The ladies game was a tight one all the way through as teams were no more than eight points apart the entire game. Teams took turns with the lead but it was the Edge with the narrow 81-80 win as they continued on their undefeated season. Emily Budd had 33 points and got player of the game.
The Edge and Bobcats don’t have to wait long for a rematch as they will square off again on Saturday.
