The Swift Current Comp. Colts won three games to place second at the Super South Tournament in Medicine Hat over the weekend.
The Colts won their opener 85-75 over the Brooks St. Joseph’s Collegiate Crusaders. They added a 76-75 win over the Medicine Hat Crescent Heights Vikings on a Jesse Patzer foul shot with no time left on the clock. The Colts rounded out a perfect round robin with a 76-33 win over the Coaldale Kate Andrews Pride.
The Colts dropped the championship game 97-61 to the host Monsignor McCoy Colts.
The Colts, who are now 7-7 on the season, will host the six-team Doug Armstrong Memorial Senior Boys Basketball Tournament this weekend. The Colts will open the tournament on Friday at 4 p.m. against the Greenall Griffins. They will also play Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
