Midget AA Broncos stretch unbeaten streak with shutout win

The Swift Current Abbey Resources Midget AA Broncos ran their unbeaten streak to 12 games with a 5-0 win over the host Notre Dame Hounds on Wednesday.

Rylan Hildebrand made 21 saves for his first shutout of the season to improve to 8-1 with a 1.88 goals against average and a .925 save percentage.

Jaydon Jessiman scored twice, Dayne Feicht added a goal and an assist, and Rylan Silzer chipped in a pair of assists. Kole Giesbrecht and Chase Sawchuk also scored. Cade Reich, Ethan Fizell, Ayden Lamarre, Kane Klassen, Zachary Sumner, Colton Leahy, and Denyn Smith all added assists.

The Broncos remain second in the South Sask Hockey League with a 14-2-1-1 record after their seventh consecutive win. The Hounds fell to 7-9-0-2.

The Midget AA Broncos will return to league action on Sunday when they host the Melville Millionaires at 2:15 p.m. at Fairview West Arena.
