Colts win regular season finale

The Swift Current Comp. Colts football team will enter the playoffs on a three-game winning streak after defeating the visiting Estevan Elecs 55-26 on Saturday.

Rhett Vavra scored six touchdowns as he finished with six receptions for 105 yards and three carries for 36 yards.

The Colts compiled 425 yards of total offense, including 263 yards through the air. Quarterback Carter Moberg completed 14 passes for 267 yards.

The Colts also ran the ball for 162 yards. Jordan Lamontagne carried the ball eight times for 68 yards and one touchdown. Austin Klimm ran three times for 25 yards and one touchdown.

The Colts held the Elecs to nine first downs and 265 yards of offense.

The Colts improved to 4-2 to place third in the seven-team league. They will head to Moose Jaw on Saturday to face the second-place Moose Jaw Central Cyclones in the semi-final.

The top seeded Yorkton Regional Raiders will host Weyburn in the other semi-final.
