Swift Current’s Brody Alexandre had a productive opening day at Tournament 12 on Wednesday.
Alexandre doubled with the bases loaded to centre field at Rogers Centre in the fourth inning to bring three runs home during a 9-0 Team Orange win over Team Black.
The hit was recorded at 101.2 miles per hour, the fourth highest exit velocity of the day.
Alexandre played first base and hit cleanup for Team Orange.
Wymark’s Jackson Fraser is also a pitcher on Team Orange. They will face Team Maroon on Thursday afternoon.
T12 features 150 of the top amateur baseball players in Canada playing in front of professional and college scouts.
Alexandre suited up for Team Prairies last season at T12 and had a home run and two runs batted in three games played.
