The Swift Current Comp. Senior Ardens basketball team won a second straight silver medal with two wins at a tournament in Yorkton over the weekend.
The Ardens opened the tournament with an 83-32 win over Yorkton Sacred Heart. Grade nine Mackenzie McIntyre led the Ardens with 20 points, followed 12 points from grade 12 Vanessa Clothier.
The Ardens followed up with a 58-34 win over Yorkton Regional. Grade 12 guard Danika Messer led the offense with 11 points, followed by 10 points from rookie Jewel Jacobson.
The Ardens lost 63-37 to North Battleford Comp. in the championship game on Saturday evening. Messer led the offense with 16 points, followed by six from McIntyre.
