Broncos’ winning streak ends in Prince Albert

The Swift Current Broncos two-game winning streak came to an end against the top ranked team in the Canadian Hockey League on Friday.

Noah Gregor, Sean Montgomery, and Kody McDonald each scored twice as the host Prince Albert Raiders defeated the Broncos 6-2. Gregor added three assists in a five-point outing.

Tanner Nagel and Erik Houk replied for the Broncos.

Joel Hofer made 37 saves as he fell to 2-11-0-1. Donavan Buskey made 16 saves on 18 shots to improve to 3-0-0-0.

The Broncos finished one-for-seven on the power play, while the Raiders scored on their only man-advantage.

Prince Albert improved to 17-1-0-0 with their 10th straight win, while the Broncos fell to 3-15-0-1.

The Broncos will be in Regina to visit the Pats on Saturday and will host the Red Deer Rebels on Sunday.
