The Swift Current Broncos let a pair of leads slip through their fingertips to remain winless on their BC Division road trip with a 5-3 loss to the host Kamloops Blazers on Friday.
The game was tied 3-3 in the third period until Josh Pillar scored with only 3:12 left in the period to give the Blazers the lead for good. Luc Smith added a empty net goal to seal the win.
The Broncos had led twice on goals from Alec Zawatsky and Joona Kiviniemi, but Connar Zary and Smith scored to tie the game each time.
Zane Franklin gave the Blazers the lead early in the third period, but Max Patterson scored to tie the game.
Joel Hofer took the loss with 35 saves, while Dylan Ferguson earned the win with 21 saves.
The Blazers improved to 3-6-0-1, while the Broncos dropped to 1-10-0-0.
The Broncos will be in Prince George on Sunday afternoon to face the Cougars.
