The Swift Current Tarpon Energy Broncos doubled up the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors in game one of the best-of-three South East Atom Tier I Hockey League championship series.
The Broncos scored three goals in the first period on their way to a 4-2 victory on Thursday. Ryder Woods led the Broncos with a goal and two assists, while Hayden Winslow, Brady Simpson, and Parker Rondeau also scored.
Levi Wills, Daxer Schroeder, Derric Dulatre, and Aidan Robinson all added assists. Calder Jones earned the win in goal.
Game two will be Saturday in Moose Jaw.
The Broncos had finished first in the regular season with a 15-2-3 record, two points ahead of the second-place Warriors.
